Grace Budenski

Grace Palma Budenski, age 91 of Cannon Falls, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday morning, October 20, 2010 at the Angels Care Center. Grace was born in Waseca, MN on May 21, 1919, the daughter of Martin and Grace (Brown) Blastervold. She married Lorin George Budenski on December 26, 1942 Waseca. Grace worked at Kids Duds for 37 years before retiring. She was an active member of First English Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, where she participated in Bible study. She was also a former member of Vasa Lutheran Church in Vasa, MN. She was a part of the Homemaker's Group in Cannon Falls for many years. Grace enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Grace Blastervold; husband, Lorin on December 16, 1986; brother, Burt Blastervold; sisters, Maybelle Nelson and Mildred Hennen; son-in-law, James Berendt; infant son and grandson. She is survived by her five children, Janet Berendt of Little Falls, Richard Budenski of Cannon Falls, Kay (Nick) Meyers of Cannon Falls, Irene (Chuck) Warnert of Eagan and Cindy (Al) Olson of Maple Grove; sister, Marilyn (Fritz) Sticha; brother-in-law, Fredrick (Marie) Budenski and Roy Thumann; sister-in-law Jean Berglund; daughter-in-law, Kathy (Jim) McCarthy; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 23 from 5-8 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls and one hour prior to service at church. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 24 at 2:00 p.m. at First English Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Philip Ruud. Interment will follow at Vasa Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Berendt, Jack Berendt, Martin Meyers, Waylon Budenski, Philip Meyers, Jeff Sticha and Richard Budenski.
