Gordon Hennen

March 2, 1943 — January 2, 2009

Gordon Hennen, age 65, of Farmington, formerly of Hastings died early Friday morning at the Trinity Care Center in Farmington.

Gordy was born March 2, 1943 the son of Lillian (Rother) and Erven Hennen in Hampton, MN. He attended school in Hastings and was a graduate of HastingsHigh School. Gordy had worked 35 years for the Minnesota Department of Transportation in the maintenance department. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time gardening, however, Gordy’s greatest love was anything that involved his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls.

Gordy is lovingly survived by his wife Mary Anne of Hastings; daughters Lisa (Breck) Cordes and Stacy (Patrick) Bauer all of Farmington; his step-children Erica (Scott) Holm of Federal Way, Wa and David (Greta) Sandquist of St. Paul; his 9 grandchildren; a brother Howard (Ginger) Hennen of Farmington and a sister Sharon (Paul) Endres of Hastings, MN; by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Also by his special friends Luvern, Jerry and Wally. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charles and his nephew Terry.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Tuesday January 6, 2009 at St. Pius V Catholic Church, Cannon Falls. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 pm in the Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls with a 7:30 pm Rosary and 1 hour prior to Mass at the church.

Interment in the St. Pius V Catholic Cemetery. Active casketbearers will be Mackenzie Bauer, Josh, Jake and Breck Cordes, Patrick Bauer, Paul Endres and Howard Hennen. Honorary casketbearers will be Makayla and Rose Bauer.

Memorials to the School of Sisters of Notre Dame or St. Mathias Catholic School.
