Glenn L. Peter, age 67, of Cannon Falls, died Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls following a lengthy illness.
Glenn was born on September 4, 1939 in Northfield, the son of Clifford and Ruth (Betts) Peter. He was raised on a farm in Randolph graduating in 1957 from Randolph High School, from then on his passion was trucking.
He married Gloria Ann Berquam on October 22, 1960 at Urland Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls. In 1964, they purchased the farm which they still currently own. Besides running the farm, Glenn went to work at Zimmerman City Transfer and later Cannon Equipment.
In 1981, Peter Trucking was established, for twenty years he ran it strong.
He was very proud of his work and business, spending countless hours devoted to its success. Glenn also loved his time with his family and grandchildren, especially the holidays and his time at the cabin near Mille Lacs Lake.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Gloria, two daughters; Sheri (Jim) Fritz, Cathy (Jim Anderson) Thumann and his son, Jeff (Vicki) Peter, all of Cannon Falls; five grandchildren, Ryan, Jenna, Ashley, Austin and Morgan; his brother, John (Carol) Peter of Rice Lake, Wisconsin and his sister, Linda (Jack) Whitson of Stanton; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ralph.
