Glen E. Molstrom, age 83 of Cannon Falls, passed away peacefully on Monday March 11, 2013 at the Trinity Health Care Center in Farmington. Glen was born August 16, 1929 on the family farm near Cannon Falls, the son of Reuben and Clara (Bagstad) Molstrom. He graduated from Cannon Falls High School and went on to further his education at the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. He was united in marriage to Joanne Husaby at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls. On July 1, 1957, they purchased Hi-Quality Bakery in Cannon Falls which they owned and operated along with Gerald and Marilyn Husaby for many years. They sold the bakery in August, 1992. He is survived by his second wife, Carolyn "Kay" of Cannon Falls; daughters, Cheryl (Gary) Hansen of Cannon Falls and Susan Simon of Farmington; grandchildren, Gina (Steve) Oehler, Scott (Megan) Hansen, Tami (Brian) Novotny, Adam, Matthew and Anthony Simon; also surviving are his 4 sweet great-grandchildren. Glen was preceded in death by his wife Joanne in 1992; parents; brother Roy; sister Mertis Evenson; and son-in-law, Dean Simon. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 15 at 12:00 p.m., with visitation from 10-12 p.m., at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church, 7459 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls. A private family interment service will be held at the Cannon Falls Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Adam, Matthew and Anthony Simon, Scott Hansen, Gerald Husaby and Marland Husaby. Memorials are preferred to St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church.
