Georgia Underdahl

Georgia Marie (Kuhl) Underdahl, age 81 of Cannon Falls, MN, and formerly of Austin, MN, died on Wednesday morning, April 10, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Georgia was born on May 25, 1937 in Lansing, MN, the oldest child born to Harold and Berniece “Bea” (Taylor) Kuhl. She graduated from Austin High School in 1956, and continued to live in Austin most all of her life. She moved to Cannon Falls in 2015.

Georgia married James R. Underdahl on December 27, 1975 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Austin. She loved gardening, doing word search puzzles, and having her popcorn and diet Coke each day. She also enjoyed cooking and being in the kitchen. Her family and her animals were very important to her.

She is survived by her son, Tim Kuhl of Rice, MN; sisters and brother, Karrol (Frank) Frost of Hastings, MN, Kathryn (Gene) Williams of Wyoming, MN, Daniel (Corlean) Kuhl of Sun City West, AZ, and Shari (Bill) Ekstrom of Cannon Falls, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by step children and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; and step-son, Rick Underdahl.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 17 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10-11 a.m., at Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls. Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.
