George Floyd King, age 70 of Cannon Falls, died on Wednesday morning, April 30, 2014 at Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls, where he has been residing the past month. George was born on September 17, 1943 in Miesville, the son of Sylvester and Leona (Latuff) King. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1961. George was a carpenter for most of his life, and was a member of the Carpenter's Union for 30 years. He loved the outdoors and hunting. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Carrie) of Cannon Falls; daughters, Wendy (Dan) McIntyre and Darcy Rohwedder (Toby Rowan), all of Hastings; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Serres of Miesville and Teresa (Don) Gerlach of Hastings; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 5 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10-11 a.m., at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. Father Fernando Ortega will officiate.
