George Fulton, age 78 of Vasa, died on Tuesday morning, April 14, 2009 at the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls.
George was born to Frank and Nellie (Oliver) Fulton on July 30, 1930 in Cummingsville, MN, the youngest of ten children. He attended schools near Cummingsville, and worked on the family farm. He moved to Red Wing in 1950, and married Marian Ebenal on September 27, 1952 in Red Wing.
George worked at Red Wing Shoe for 44 years. They resided in Red Wing until 1976, when they moved to Vasa.
He enjoyed yard work, feeding birds, and traveling by car to surrounding states. He really loved Lake Superior!
George loved his family, and enjoyed spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be remembered most for his honesty, and his genuine concern for others.
He is survived by his wife of over 56 years, Marian; his three children, Teresa (Bob) Evans of Isanti, Cal (Jean) Fulton and Jerry (Brenda) Fulton, all of Red Wing; nine grandchildren, Jason Kimmel, Nikki Linders, Tiffany Kalland, Chelsie Weimer, Lindsey and Nellie Fulton, Nick Fulton, Amanda Hilleshiem, and Derrick Seyffer; eight great-grandchildren, Jordan, Chandler, Dylan, Cole, Auston, Kaden, Addison and Abriana; brother, Frank "Jim" (Onie) Fulton of Red Wing; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Ione Leonard, Cecile McMoran, Edna Smith, Edith Marshall, and Bessie Smith; and three brothers, Robert, Arthur and Clarence Fulton.
A private immediate family service will be held.
