George Duncan

George LaVerne Duncan, age 72 of Cannon Falls, died unexpectedly on Monday afternoon, March 2, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. George was born on April 5, 1942 in Cannon Falls, the son of Arthur Sr. and Luella (Stafford) Duncan. He married Ethel "Vicky" McBride on March 7, 1960. George farmed for 30 years for Phil Parsons near Northfield. His top priority was his family, and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, trapping, maple syruping, and watching birds. He enjoyed woodworking, and watching Fox 9 News. He is preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson, Braydon Kleeberger; brothers, Robert and Harold Stafford, and Edward Duncan; and sisters, Marie Robinson and Marie Lloyd. George is survived by his wife, Vicky; children, Brenda Duncan and Scott Reinfeld, Brian and Corinne Duncan, Chris and Paul Kodada, and Renee and Rob Kleeberger; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Art (Kathy) Duncan; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 10 at 3:00 p.m., with visitation from 2-3 p.m., at Urland Lutheran Church.
