Gary Farrell

Gary T. Farrell, age 67, of Goodhue, died on Thursday, Nov. 18, at his home in rural Goodhue.

Gary Thomas Farrell was born on May 31, 1954, in Red Wing, the son of Robert and Freda (Herbst) Farrell. He grew up in Goodhue County and graduated from Goodhue High School in 1972. On Aug. 10, 1974, Gary and Patricia McNamara were married in Goodhue. She preceded him in death. In 1998, he married Lyubov Khyzhnyak in Red Wing.

Gary farmed all of his life and had his own business, Ace Pest Control. He enjoyed fishing, spending time at the cabin, and talking with friends and family. He loved talking to everyone, especially at Casey's when getting coffee. Most of all, Gary loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Columbkill Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife Lyubov, children Lindsay (Brad) Farrell-Govek, Tanya (Jesse) Delva, Casey Farrell, Anya (Zhenya) Kapteltsev, and Inna (Peter) Pasalis; grandchildren Dasha Foster, Caelan Farrell, Jesse Delva Jr, Dmitri Kapteltsev, and Mila Delva; mother-in-law Yevheniya Khyzhnyak; sisters Karen Farrell and Sally (Joe) Dick, brother Glenn Farrell, and sister-in-law Paula Farrell. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Patricia, and his brother Don Farrell.

Visitation for Gary will be on Tuesday, November 23, from 4-8:00 pm at St. Columbkill Catholic Church, 36483 Co 47 Blvd, Goodhue, MN 55027. The funeral mass will be on Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 10:30 am, also at St. Columbkill. There will be visitation beginning at 9:30. The service will be live streamed here at 10:30 Wednesday and may be viewed by clicking the ling below. Following the service, there will be a luncheon served at the Lions Building in Goodhue for family and friends.
