Fredrick Michael “Fred” Wrobleski, age 80 of Cannon Falls, died on Saturday morning, May 18, 2019 at The View.
Fred was born on February 20, 1939 in Appleton, MN, one of 15 children to Robert and MaryAnn (Eidenschink) Wrobleski. He farmed in the Clarkfield and Boyd areas before moving to Cannon Falls, where he farmed for George Conzemius. After 30 years of farming, he went to work at Cannon Equipment for 16 years. Throughout his life, his greatest enjoyment was working on cars.
Fred is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Wrobleski-Berg and Ed Berg of Cannon Falls; grandchildren, Breonna Lee of Cannon Falls, Samantha Berg (Jon Marczak) of Duluth, Fredrick “Freddie” Berg and Edward “Eddie” Berg, both of Cannon Falls; great-grandson, Hunter Marczak; sisters, MaryAnn Wrobleski of Phoenix, AZ, Linda Kurkosky and JoAnn Kurkosky, both of Benson, Janie (Chuck) Woods of DeGraff, Joanie (David) Lantz of Tolono, IL, Rosemary Wrobleski of Benson, and Darlene (David) Miller of Danube; brother, Robert Wrobleski of Beardstown, IL; many nieces and nephews; and good friend, Pat Meade of Moose Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Faye Wrobleski; great-granddaughter, Paisley Marczak; sisters, Louise Weber, Pauline Wrobleski, and Betty Mitchell; brothers, Alfred, Leo and August; ex-wife, DeeAnn Mitchell; brothers-in-law, Gary Kurkosky and Ronald Mitchell; and niece, Brenda Kurkosky.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 22 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 9-11 a.m., at First English Lutheran Church, 511 W. Belle St., Cannon Falls. Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Freddie Berg, Eddie Berg, Breonna Lee, Samantha Berg, and Randy Feidt. Honorary pallbearers will be his good friend, Chopper and great-grandson, Hunter Marczak.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
