Everett Allen “Butch” Dierke, age 51 of Cannon Falls, died at home on Friday, November 24, 2017.
Butch was born on August 2, 1966 in Cannon Falls, the youngest son of Mangil “M.W.” and Hazel (Vincent) Dierke. He graduated from Randolph High School in 1984. He helped on the family farm throughout his life, and was a welder for over 30 years. Most recently he owned and operated South Metro Welding and Fabrication. He loved being outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and riding horses.
He is survived by his brothers, Wayne of Hastings and John (Laura) of New Prague; best friend, Mary Yarbrough and her daughter, Grace, of Hastings; one niece and four nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10-11 a.m., at Riverwood Community Church, Cannon Falls. Following lunch, interment will be at Zion Cemetery in Hampton Township, where Butch has served on the cemetery board for many years.
Active pallbearers will be Bryce Kimmes, Paul Johnson, Mike Erickson, Randy Stein, Rick and Mike Russell. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Prestegard, Tom Barrett, Mike Oney, Bob Holmes, Jim Shimek, and Jeff Stricker.
