Eva Marie Bergstrom

Eva Marie Bergstrom, age 98 1/2 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, May 28, 2024 at her home at Cannon Rivers Senior Living, Cannon Falls.
Eva Marie was born the youngest of three children to Jens and Elvera (Swenson) Carlsen on October 4, 1925 in Leon Township. When she was 9 years old, her mother passed away and she was raised by her single father.
She married Wilbur Bergstrom on March 4, 1944 in Minneapolis, and they were blessed with six children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur in 2011; daughter, Katherine at 13 months; son, Keith in 1992; sister, Roselyn King; and brother, Everett Carlsen.
She is survived by her children, Bill (Sandra), Linda (Steve) Swanson, Leanne (Steve) Zielsdorf, and Lorie Bergstrom (Scott Vreeland); grandchildren, Kelley (David) Ranes, Amy (Jim) Young, Kris (Roger) Richardson, Kelly Zak, Zach (Rachel) Swanson, Lindsay (Eric) Nelson, Gretchen (Benson) Ramsey, Sam (Tasha) Bergstrom, and Elliot Vreeland; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Eva Marie will be missed dearly. There is so much we will miss but especially her positive encouragement and energetic attitude toward life. She leaves behind a huge void, yet, how blessed are we to call her "our mom." Her giving and loving spirit and her legacy, lives on in all of us.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 11:00 am, with visitation from 10:00-11:00 am, at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church, Cannon Falls. This service will be livestreamed and available to watch below.  Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.  Honorary urn bearers will be her grandchildren.

Memorial donations in Eva Marie's name may be given to the Cannon Falls Library, St. Croix Hospice, and St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church.
