Ellwood Henry Benson, age 88, a lifelong resident of Cannon Falls, died on Sunday afternoon, October 21, 2007 at the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls, where he has been residing since July.
Ellwood was born on June 6, 1919 in Clark Valley of Cannon Falls Township, the son of Emil Theodore and Anna Elida (Bernanderson) Benson. He attended country school, and farmed in Cannon Falls Township most all of his life.

He loved spending time with his family, especially going to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's activities.
After nearly 58 years of marriage, Marian died on August 29, 2000. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dale "Ted" Benson; and sisters, Hazel Iverson Mai and Juanita Hoverstad.
