Ellard Ragner “Al” Johnson, age 80 of Cannon Falls, died at his home on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.
Ellard was born on March 4, 1939 in Little Falls, MN, the son of Ragner and Eunice (Andersen) Johnson. He grew up and attended school in Little Falls, graduating from Little Falls High School in 1957.
He drove truck most of his life, and in 1981, went to work at Berquist in Cannon Falls, until his retirement.
He married Donna Schuette on June 21, 1980 in Castle Rock, MN.
He enjoyed playing games on the computer and playing a lot of euchre, concentration, and cribbage. He was a competitor and loved letting his opponents know he was going to win! He also enjoyed bs’ing with everybody, even if he didn’t know them. He would meet friends daily for coffee at McDonald’s and loved sharing his love of Peeps with his grandson, Jaxson.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna; children, Dave (Brenda) of Elbow Lake, Dan (Vicki) of Cannon Falls, Chris (Rich) Haag of Big Lake, and Linda (Brandon) Herrera of Cannon Falls; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and sister, Enid (Orlin) Vandeventer of Minnetonka.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth; and granddaughter, Katie.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, December 16 from 4-8 PM at Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls.
