Elizabeth Christenson

Elizabeth Jeanette "Betty" Christenson, age 87 of Cannon Falls, died on Monday, September 5, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester following a brief illness. Betty was born on May 17, 1924 in Eau Claire, WI, the daughter of William and Irene (Grobe) Cass. Betty enjoyed being in nature, and was an avid gardener, and had enjoyed raising goats. She loved her cat, Patches, and to crotchet. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother! She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Sheridan of Cannon Falls; her children, David Thompson, Susan (Lee) Rosckes of Faribault, Sandy (Scott) Carlson of South St. Paul, and Shirley (Joseph) Wayne of Cannon Falls; 11 grandchildren, Christopher (Jacqueline) Rosckes of Frisco, TX, Kelly Stanley of Georgetown, TX, Carla Rosckes of Minneapolis, Michelle (Peder) Tofsrud of St. Paul, Nicole Carlson (fiancé, David Butenhoff) of South St. Paul, Jake Christenson of Cannon Falls, Elizabeth Green of Eagan, Emily (Dustin) Montey of Camp Pendleton, CA, James, Jared and Jason Green, all of Cannon Falls; and great-grandson, Kyle Stanley. She also had a brother, Billy Cass. She was preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Carl Christenson. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 8 at 10:00 a.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Bradley Berglund officiating. Active pallbearers will be her grandchildren. There will be visitation on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. and Thursday from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
