Edna Lufi

Edna Loreen Lufi, age 94 of Northfield and formerly of Randolph, died on Monday afternoon, September 2, 2013 at Three Links Care Center. Edna was born on September 11, 1918 in North Freedom, WI, the daughter of Julius and Sarah (Grosinski) Matz. She graduated from New Leopzig High School in 1936. She married Nathan Lufi on September 25, 1940 in Randolph. They farmed until September, 1981 when they retired and moved to Northfield. Edna was a member of Randolph Baptist Church, and was also chairman of ladies aid "WMF" for many years. She was a volunteer at Food Shelf and Community Action Center in Northfield. She is survived by her son, Steven (Cheryl) of Northfield; 5 grandchildren, Andrew, Philip, Kenneth, Daniel and Lynnea; 3 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nathan on August 24, 1997; son, Stanley; sister, Wilma; and brother, Raymond. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation from 12-1 p.m., at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Hampton.
