Dorothy M. Eckerly, 62 of Farmington, passed away at her home on Friday, March 26, 2010 following an extended illness.
A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Lundberg Funeral Home, 5839 Hwy 19 Blvd. Cannon Falls, with the Reverend Gary Schulz, officiating.
Dorothy M. Eckerly was born October 21, 1947 in Eugene, Oregon, the daughter of Lester and Thelma (Holter) Brown. She moved with her family at an early age and was raised in Sandstone, Minnesota, where she graduated high school. She was united in marriage to Fred Presley, Sr., the couple later divorced and Dorothy raised her children and attended college. She was later married to Raymond Eckerly in 1992. The couple made their home in the Cannon Falls area and Dorothy worked in property management for Dakota County HRA and later with BTA. She later was employed by Uponor and had been a department manager.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Ray of Farmington, daughters; Lisa Presley-Peterson and Lynn M. (Tim Pilon) Schafer all of Cannon Falls, her son, Fred ( Leanne Delsantro) Presley of Goodhue, five grandchildren; Shannon (Jessie), Leigha, Cale, Cody (Kate) Cole, two great-grandchildren: Abby & Lily, her brother, Lester (Judy) Brown of Spirit Lake, Idaho, her sister, Mary Hecht of Eagan & several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Edward.
