Doris Alma Marie (Anderson) Landon, age 98 of Cannon Falls, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, April 14, 2025.
Doris was born on July 6, 1926 in Red Wing, MN, to A. Winfred Anderson and Annie Josephine (Aslakson) Anderson. She was a 1944 Cannon Falls High School graduate, and married Paul R. Landon on August 23, 1947 in Vasa. She was a homemaker, and they raised five children, Mike, Linda, Sam, Priscilla and Sheila.
Doris was active in the Cannon Falls community for many years. She was an active member of First English Lutheran Church, a VFW Auxiliary member, served on the Cannon Falls Food Shelf for 20 years, volunteered at the nursing home for 5 years, and was a member of the Cloverdale Homemakers for 50 years. She and Paul enjoyed traveling throughout their nearly 52 years of marriage. Paul passed away on March 27, 1999.
Doris later moved to Park Street Apartments, where she lived for 14 years until moving to daughter, Sheila's home in the summer of 2022. She returned to Cannon Falls in 2024 to be closer to her large family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; grandson, Allen Hopkins; son-in-law, Larry Hopkins; three sisters and their husbands, Donna (Lawrence) Pasch, Almira (Lowell) Ramstad, and Ardis (Charles) Durdahl; an infant brother; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Anderson.
She is survived by her children, Mike (Sonja) of Cannon Falls, Linda (Ed) Lundell of Sundance, Wyoming, Sam (Tammy) of Prior Lake, Priscilla Hopkins of Cannon Falls, and Sheila (Geoff) Dunham of Saint Francis; 16 grandchildren, Andy, Ashleigh, Brandi, Jeanna, Dustin, Casey, Corey, Josh, Misty, Angie, Rick, Chrissy, Tiffany, Wesley, Robert, and Danielle; 30 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Russell (Betty) and Donald Anderson; nieces and nephews; and special friend, Kenny Larsen.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 28 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm, at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29 at 11:00 am, with visitation from 10-11 am, at First English Lutheran Church, 511 W. Belle St., Cannon Falls. This service will be livestreamed and available to watch below. Following lunch, interment will be at Vasa Lutheran Cemetery, with VFW Auxiliary honors.
Active casket bearers will be Lawrence "Swede" Johnson, Kyle Rapp, Jim Roush, Tor Millard, Mark Nelson, and Kenny Larsen. Honorary casket bearers will be her grandchildren.
