Donald H. Ludwig, age 83 of Cannon Falls, died on Friday afternoon, March 8, 2013 at Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls. Donald was born in Hampton Township on July 29, 1929 and attended school at St. Mary's in New Trier. He later farmed with his father Nick in Hampton. In 1951, he married Jane Rother and were blessed with eight children. In addition to farming, Don worked at Gemini in Cannon Falls for 18 years. Donald is preceded in death by parents Nick and Mathilda; sister Mary Catherine; and brothers John and Nick Jr. He is survived by loving and caring wife Jane; children Wendy, Gary, Beverly, Richard, Shirley and Francis; many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Luella; and brother Hubert. Donnie will forever be in our hearts… we will never forget the memories and values instilled in us growing up on our farm in New Trier, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 13 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 9:30-11 a.m., at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 410 W. Colvill St., Cannon Falls. Spring interment will be at St. Mathias Catholic Cemetery, Hampton.
