Dimitri Denzel Lewis, age 23 of Rochester, died unexpectedly on March 11, 2018.
Dimitri was born to Tywander Brooks on July 30, 1994 at Olmsted Medical Center in Rochester. He lived in Chicago, IL during elementary school, and moved to Rochester, MN in 2004. He attended Rochester public schools.
Dimitri was a published poet and easily made friends. He loved spending time with his friends, and especially spending time with his family and his children. He loved to ride, and enjoyed his toys; snowmobiles, cars, and four-wheelers. If there was an adventure, Dimitri was there! He was great at making you laugh!
He leaves many to mourn… his children, Isaiah and Princess Aaliyah (Terena); his mother, Tywander Brooks-Ejiogu and father, Darian Lewis Sr.; brother and sister, Darian Lewis Jr. and Kayla Anderson; nephews and niece, Ezekiel, Messiah, and Audrey; grandparents, Jerome and Pearlie Brooks and Gertrude Muhammad; aunts, uncles and cousins; special friend, Brittany Clark and her siblings, Matt, Kara, and Nick, and her parents, Dan and Delores Clark, and her grandparents, Stan and Nancy Leibold; and many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Lewis; great-grandparents, Willie Barns, Olivia Matthews, David McNeal, and Robert Sr. and Mary Nash.
