David Lundell

April 16, 1944 — February 13, 2007

David Leonard Lundell, age 62 of Cannon Falls, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 13, 2007.



Dave was born on April 16, 1944 in Red Wing, the son of Irvin W. and Hazel V. (Johnson) Lundell. He attended school in Cannon Falls, and went on to serve with the U.S. Army in 1965. He was stationed in Alaska, and was honorably discharged in 1967.

He married Judith M. Regenscheid on February 1, 1969 at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls.

Dave was a quiet, private, humble man who enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, and feeding the birds. He most enjoyed spending time working in his garage!

He was employed for most of his life as a carpenter and a farmer. He built and remodeled homes in the Cannon Falls area, later owning his business, Lundell Construction.

He was a member of the local VFW Nelson Scofield Post #4452.

He loved spending time with his family, and enjoyed his grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered for his humor, his smile, and his welcoming manner.



He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Judy; four children, Tina (David) Fremouw of Cannon Falls, Jackie Lundell of Burnsville, Cari Lundell (fiance' Jason Steinhibel) of Cannon Falls, and Trevor Lundell of Cannon Falls; four grandchildren, Danielle, Lyndsey and Gracie Fremouw, and Michael Steinhibel; and his mother, Hazel Lundell of Cannon Falls.

He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin on October 7, 1983; brother, Roger on November 14, 1980; and an infant sister.



A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 16 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Arthur Sharot officiating.

Visitation will be held AT THE CHURCH on Thursday from 4-8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. There will also be visitation on Friday at church from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association.



Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Joseph Lundell, Jesse Beebe, Kyle Beebe, Jason Janssen, Matt Regenscheid and Justin Regenscheid.
