David J. Kane passed away on June 16, 2019 at the age of 59 in Cannon Falls, Minnesota.
David was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Gerald and Marlys Kane. He graduated from high school in the State of Washington in 1978, while serving in the U.S. Army. After graduation, David was stationed in Germany where he served in the ski patrol in the German Alps, a Supply Sergeant and was a member of the army running team, the Stuttgart Striders. While in the army, David traveled across Europe, experiencing all the sights, culture and history. After his honorable discharge from the army, David returned to Minnesota in 1980. On April 24, 1982, he married his life-long friend, and love of his life, Cynthia Glor, in Apple Valley, Minnesota. David worked as a Sales Manager in the bicycle industry for 20 years.He then was a National Sales Manager in the Power Sports Industry until he retired in 2015, due to his declining health. David and Cindy relocated several times with work-related transfers, meeting wonderful new friends along the way. On May 31, 1992, David and Cindy gave birth to their daughter, Holland Kane. David was a loving father and spent every free moment with his family. He shared his love of travel and adventure with Cindy and Holland, and they took many wonderful trips together. David enjoyed meeting new people, running, skiing, and bicycling. Most of all, he was a devoted husband and father.
David is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Kane, his mother, Marlys Miller, and his brother, Douglas Kane. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Kane (Glor), his daughter, Holland Kane, his sisters, Leslie Kane and Karin Morris (Kane), his brother,Timothy Kane, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday. August 28 from 6-8 pm, at Lundberg Funeral Home, 5839 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls, MN.
