"Cindi Johnson died today." Cynthia M. "Cindi" Johnson, age 48 of Wanamingo Township and formerly of Hermantown, died at her home on Sunday evening, June 23, 2013. She is the daughter of Ronald Johnson and Katherine Nicholson. Cindi loved her children, Matthew Parkins and wife Sarah, Brian Parkins, and Shawna Shykes. Her grandchildren were the light of her life; Taylor Shykes, Layne Parkins, and is holding Mason Parkins again. Cindi will be missed by her brothers, Erik (Terri) Johnson and Krist (Rebecca) Johnson; sister, Holly (Brian) Elison; and nieces and nephews. Cindi is survived by her love, Jeff Burdick; and her faithful companion, Fritz. In place of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice is requested. Cindi asks that you remember to sing. A party to celebrate and remember her life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 2:00 pm at 5719 Wadena Street in Duluth.
