Christine Marie Otto, age 63 of Welch, died on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
Christine was born on January 15, 1954 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of Nicholas and Catherine (Frommelt) Esch. She graduated from South St. Paul High School in 1972, and married David P. Otto on October 31, 1975 in Watertown, SD.
Along with being a homemaker, Chris cleaned area homes for 30 years. She was a member of St. Ansgar’s Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and traveling with her family. She loved spending time with her family, especially playing and hanging out with her grandchildren. She loved to go shopping and spoil them!
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, David; children, Tony (Katie) Otto of Cannon Falls, Bria (Bruce) Ohmann of Randolph, and Brittney (Matthew) Rivard of Centerville; six grandchildren, Delanie Otto, Hayden Otto, Dominick Ohmann, Brayden Rivard, Justine Ohmann, and Charlee Rivard; brothers, William Esch of Boynton Beach, FL, Robert (Mary) Esch of Hudson, WI, and Charles Esch of Oakdale; and many nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Margaret Esch and Cathy Newman; nephew, Joseph Esch; parents-in-law, Harold and Ida Otto; brother-in-law, Harry Otto; and sisters-in-law, Jill Otto, Mary Esch, and Michelle Otto.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28 from 4-8 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation from 10-11 a.m., at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church, Cannon Falls. Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Bruce Ohmann, Matthew Rivard, D.J. Otto, James Esch, Nik Esch, and Josh Otto. Honorary pallbearers will be her six grandchildren.
