Brett Joseph "Hippy" Underdahl, age 50 of Cannon Falls, died on December 24, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Hospitals – Rochester Campus.
Brett was born on December 8, 1971 in Northfield, MN, the son of Jim and Lorrie (Quam) Underdahl. He graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1990 and later graduated from Dakota County Technical College.
He worked as a union laborer for most of his life. He was proud of his Nordic ancestry, supported the 2nd Amendment, was patriotic and loved his country. His passion was muscle cars, especially Mopars. He enjoyed video, board and card games, rock and roll and heavy metal music, and loved all animals. Clint Eastwood and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. were his heroes. He was a big guy with a heart of gold, and this gentle giant loved his family and friends!
He is survived by his mother, Lorrie Underdahl, brothers, Todd (Lori) and Barry (Pam), sister, Beth (Rick) Bailey; nephews and nieces, Brandon, Brittney, Casey, Marissa, Tanner, and Ryan; girlfriend, Heather Robinson; uncles and aunts, Roger Underdahl, Annie Quam, Carol (Leroy) Heuer, Linda (Jim) Myers, and Robert Quam; and cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Jim; and aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life gathering will be on Thursday, December 30 from 4-8 pm, with a brief service at 7:30 pm, at Lundberg Funeral Home, Cannon Falls. A private family interment will take place in the spring at Little Cannon Cemetery, rural Kenyon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
