Brandon Walls

Brandon Grant Walls, age 33 of Hastings and formerly of Stanton and Kenyon, died peacefully at his home on Monday, December 30, 2019. He was lovingly nicknamed “Tigger” by his grandpa Ray.

Brandon was born on February 23, 1986 in Red Wing, the son of Christine Kimmes and Kenneth Walls. He was baptized at St. Pius V Catholic Church and later confirmed at Stanton United Methodist Church. He graduated high school in 2004 and was currently employed at Intek Plastics in Hastings.

As the only boy, growing up with sisters was interesting! He tolerated many of their games and requests, only to end up laughing and playing along! He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was to be married to Mandy Vickney on October 10, 2020.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and being in the woods, at “the park” at his grandparents, or enjoying the cabin life with Mandy’s family. He loved sharing his passion for the outdoors with his son, Michael and stepson, Johnathan. From the time he was young, he was around animals, and he especially loved his dogs.

He will be greatly missed by the love of his life, Mandy Vickney of Hastings; son, Michael and stepson, Johnny; his mother, Christine Kimmes of Stanton; grandparents, Ray Sr. and Mickey Kimmes of Stanton; father, Ken Walls (Laura Qualey) of Cannon Falls; grandparents, John and Jeanine Walls of Cannon Falls; sisters, Amanda Evans of New Prague, Brandi (Ben) Nesseth of Crookston, Linnea (Nate) Wayne of Ellendale, Cortney Walls and Kaitlyn (Jim) Pabst, all of Eau Claire, WI; nieces and nephews, Ellie and  Joey, Monroe and River, Gus and Evelyn; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, including special uncle Ray Kimmes Jr. of Cannon Falls.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, January 2 from 4-7 pm, with a prayer service at 7 pm, at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls.
