Betty LaRae Felton, age 84 of Cannon Falls, died on Thursday morning, January 31, 2008 at the Cannon Falls Clinic.
Betty was born on November 14, 1923 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Anthony and Lillian (Johnson) Kostakos. She graduated from Edison High School in Northeast Minneapolis, and later attended the Minneapolis Business School. She worked for Northrup King, where she managed the addressograph department.
She married Harold C. Felton on July 27, 1946 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.
Betty held numerous jobs during Harold's employment with IBM, including Josten's in Owatonna and in state government in Juneau, Alaska. She was involved in women's groups at the Lutheran churches they attended. In 1995, their lives changed as Betty was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
She is survived by her husband, Harold of Cannon Falls; brother, Richard Anthony of Salano Beach, CA; nieces, nephews and loving in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Lillian Kostakos; three sisters and one brother, Marion Smith, Ronald Anthony, DeEtta Rogers, and Evanthia Hardy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Randolph, with Pastor Steven Schwartz officiating.
Spring interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Randolph.
