Becky Anne (Schafer) Trinka was born to Rupert and Lucille (Carlson) Schafer on October 10, 1957. She and her 5 siblings grew up in a close-knit community of neighbors on the shores of Lake Byllesby, where their childhood buddies became life-long friends. She attended Randolph High School and later received cosmetology and business licenses. She owned and managed two hair salons for many years. After a brief retirement, she began working at Marshall Line Bus Company. She made many good friends in both of these careers and enjoyed the people in each workplace.
Becky had three daughters: Lisa Freier, Mandy (Joe) Aldrich, and Jamie (Jon) Selin and she married Robert Trinka in 1984. She had 8 grandchildren whom she adored. Andrew and Benjamin Freier; Liam, Honey, and Nora Aldrich; William, Callie, and Kajsa Selin. Becky went to great lengths to create fun memories with her grandchildren.
Everywhere she went, Becky brought her energetic and welcoming spirit. She could brighten any room and was always ready to have fun! It has been said of her, “When Becky arrived, the party started!” She was encouraging and supportive of the people around her and she was an incredible friend. Even in the most recent years of enduring debilitating medical challenges, she showed her indomitable spirit by maintaining a positive attitude and continuing to build fun into relationships with her caregivers. She will be greatly missed by many.
