Arnold Vomhof

Arnold Waldemar Vomhof, age 73 of River Falls, WI entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at The Lutheran Home in River Falls, WI. Arnold was born in Red Wing, Minnesota on March 8, 1937 the son of Erwin and Pearl (Dille) Vomhof. Arnold graduated from Goodhue High School in 1955 and worked most of his life as a farmer, on his farm in Goodhue Township. Arnold was a member of Saint John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Goodhue Township. He belonged to the Goodhue 4H, Saint John's Young Peoples and Goodhue County Watershed organizations. He enjoyed putting puzzles together and watching the Minnesota Vikings. Arnold is survived by his brothers, Reverend Ervine (Marjorie) Vomhof of Baraboo, WI and Reverend Roger (Marjory) Vomhof of Caledonia; nephews and niece, Jerold (Deborah) Vomhof, David (Kristin) Vomhof, Martin "Marty" Vomhof, Carol (Jeremy) Holtz and Stephen (Danlye) Vomhof; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 11 at 11 am at Saint John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Goodhue Township. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 10 from 4-7 pm and one hour prior to service at Saint John's Ev. Lutheran Church, Goodhue Township, with Pastor Andrew Krause officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Saint John's Ev. Lutheran Church and School in Goodhue Township, the American Heart Association, American Lung Association or American Diabetes Association.
