Ardis Miriam Lindahl, age 68, a lifelong resident of Cannon Falls, died peacefully on Tuesday morning, May 6, 2008 at the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls.
Ardis was born on February 11, 1940 in Red Wing, the daughter of Kermit and Pearl (Robinson) Kjos. She attended Cannon Falls High School, and married Franklin E. "Frank" Lindahl on November 16, 1957 in Goodhue.
While raising her family, she did a lot of sewing, and had helped with making dresses for weddings. She had been employed for many years at the dry cleaners, working for Willis Woodward and Duane Berhow.
Ardis enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved fishing, and would often bring her children with her. She also loved to take drives around the countryside. She enjoyed reading, especially the Egyptian and biblical eras. She also enjoyed shopping and dining out! Ardis enjoyed her many friends at Freeborn Manor.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Frank on January 21, 1997.
Ardis is survived by her children, Jeff (Janet) Lindahl, Cindy Landon, and John (Donna) Lindahl, all of Cannon Falls; six grandchildren, Casey (Angie) Landon, Corey and Joshua Landon, Shauna Ybarra, Renae and Dane Lindahl; three great-grandchildren, Jasper Lindahl, Cody and Carly Hansen; brother, Neil (Lois) of Red Wing; sister, Anna Mae (Ronald) Lexvold of Red Wing; sisters-in-law, Doris Egge, Lozetta and Elaine Lindahl, all of Cannon Falls, and Donna Lindahl of Hastings; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Donald Bakken officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Interment will take place at a later date at the Vasa Lutheran Cemetery.
