Anna Adelia (Mrs. Norris) Johnson, age 90 of Cannon Falls, died on Friday morning, July 23, 2010 at the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls.
Anna was born on May 29, 1920 in Leon Township, the daughter of David and Amelia (Dahlin) Bakkethun. Anna attended rural country school through 8th grade at District #10, and then went to work for area families in need of a nanny or domestic help. She later worked at the bus depot and the Dairy Bar in Cannon Falls.
Anna was a longtime member of St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, and had been involved at one time with the Cannon Falls Hospital Auxiliary and Goodwill Project Group.
Anna was a hard working farm wife, who loved her family and was content to be home on the farm. She enjoyed cooking and baking, visits from family and devoted neighbors, and her dogs. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Norris; son, Dana Edstrom of Minneapolis; daughter, Barb (Tom) Monroe of Cannon Falls; granddaughter, Shelby (Tyler) Olson of Cannon Falls; great-grandchildren, Trent and Reighan Olson; sister, Irene Lundell of Cannon Falls; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harlan Edstrom; and sister, Junice Goudy.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 27 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, with Pastor Gary Schulz officiating.?A�Interment will follow at the Cannon Falls Cemetery.?A� Visitation will be held on Monday, July 26 from 5-8 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls, and also one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday.
Memorials are preferred to St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church, Cannon Falls Food Shelf, or to donor's choice.
Active pallbearers will be Brian, Brad, and Blake Lundell, David Kapp, Lawrence Johnson, and Lowell Peterson.
