Ann Marie Lundell, age 77 of Cannon Falls, died one day short of her 78th birthday on Thursday evening, March 27, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Hospitals - St. Mary's Campus in Rochester following a medical procedure.
Ann was born on March 28, 1947 in Red Wing, the daughter of Leslie and Hazel (Evans) Seufert. She graduated from Central High School in Red Wing, and married Bert Lundell on January 29, 1966. She was a homemaker, and they raised two children together.
Ann worked at the Goodhue County Bank in Red Wing. She later worked at Mineral Springs in Cannon Falls as a secretary in the chemical dependency department. She was also employed at Midwest of Cannon Falls for a time. She finished her career at White Rock State Bank in Cannon Falls and Goodhue, retiring in 2007.
Ann and Bert are members of St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church in Cannon Falls, where they sang in the church choir, and she enjoyed volunteering with church activities. She also loved watching and feeding birds, especially the purple martins and their gourd homes. She loved gardening, canning, making wine, and working on their home addition. She will be remembered for her pie making, especially lemon pie.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 59 years, Bert; their children, Troy (Judy) Lundell of Chaska and Teresa (Scott) Guertin of Cottage Grove; 7 grandchildren, Beau, Linzy, Luke, Lance, Kaylee, Kylee, and Danielle; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bertha (Rhody) Tiedeman and Judy Riesberg, both of Red Wing; and in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Hazel Seufert; and brother, Fred Seufert.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 4 at 11:00 am, with visitation from 10-11:00 am, at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church, 7459 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls. This service will be livestreamed and available to watch below. Honorary urn bearers will be her grandchildren. Spring interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Randolph.
Memorials are preferred in Ann's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
