Alice Pasch

Alice Rose Pasch, age 95, of Hastings and formerly of Cannon Falls, died Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Regina Senior Living in Hastings.

Alice was born on December 25, 1923 in Sand Creek Township, the daughter of Frank and Albertina (Wolf) Kersting. She grew up in the Jordan area and attended school at St. John’s Parochial school in Jordan. Following school, Alice worked for Brown and Bigelow. On June 11, 1946 she was married to John G. Pasch at St. John the Baptist Church in Jordan. Alice worked catering weddings with the Rose Doffing Group and the couple farmed southeast of New Trier. They retired in 1983 and moved to Cannon Falls in 1993. In 2013 Alice moved to Hastings. She was a former long-time member of St. Mary’s Catholic church in New Trier where she was active in St. Theresa and the St. Mary’s Altar Society. Alice was a current member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in Cannon Falls and had been a 4H Leader for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing, and crocheting. She was a wonderful cookie baker and homemaker. Alice loved going fishing with her family and helping with the farm work. She and John travelled together all over and enjoyed spending winters together in Texas.

Survivors include her children Daniel (Rita) Pasch, Judy (Charles) Gerlach, JoAnn (Roger) Bauer, and Bonita (Victor) Clasemann; 15 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brothers Clifford (Kathleen) Kersting and James (Mary) Kersting; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, her sister Bernice (Eldridge) Freier, brother-in-law Lawrence Pasch, sisters-in-law Viola and Joan Kersting, and grandson-in-law Steve Boyd.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:00 am, at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 410 W. Colvill, Cannon Falls, MN  55009. There will be a visitation at the church from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Interment will be in the St. Pius Cemetery. Lundberg Funeral Home, 5839 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls, Mn 55009 is assisting the family.
