Albert Steward

Albert "Bud" Frank Steward, age 82 of Cannon Falls, died on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Diamond Rehab & Living Center. Al was born on December 29, 1933 in St. Paul, the son of Fred L. and Adelaide (Pothen) Steward. He attended country school in White Bear Lake. He entered into the US Army on August 18, 1951 and was honorably discharged on January 7, 1955. Al married Patricia L. Lovejoy on October 30, 1968 in Hudson, WI. Al was a life member of the VFW Nelson Scofield Post #4452. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia; sisters, Pat (Hank) Suchy of Pine City and Marilyn (Orlin "Dan") Danielson of St. Paul; and many nieces and nephews, including Brenda Steward, Charles Eckl and Karissa Eckl, all of Lonsdale, Dawne Stewart, Joshua Stewart, Jeremy Stewart and Kaitlyn Webstead, all of Maple Lake, Adelaide Stewart of Inver Grove Heights, Doug Buechner of Brooklyn Park, Roy Buechner of St. Paul and Debbie Peterson of Forest Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Fred and John. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm at St. Ansgar's Lutheran Church, 7459 Hwy 19 Blvd, Cannon Falls, with Pastor Carol Sinykin officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
